My Story

As a trauma specialist, I have supported individuals through diverse life experiences, including traumatic exposures (childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety) for more than 25 years. Through a client centered lens of support and encouragement, I have worked with individuals in varying stages of life span, including children, youth, adults and seniors. I value the courage, commitment, and authenticity each client brings to the table and am honoured to be a part of that healing journey. I believe in the ability to heal and approach my client interactions with love, support, and humour.

My passion lies in building hope and helping individuals develop healthy wellness strategies of their own. I have extensive experience working with diverse cultures, genders, religions, and sexual orientations. My academic research (thesis) focused on the middle aged stage of development and one’s sense of belonging.

I am a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists Association of Alberta and the Canadian Psychological Association. I am trained in EMDR and Hakomi therapy.

My Education & Experience

I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta in Psychology and a Master degree in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle.

I have a vast array of experience in counselling and coaching (competitive swimming). Helping individuals overcome barriers in life are a passion of mine.

I am also a faculty member and teach graduate students enrolled in a Master of Counselling Psychology program with City University of Seattle-Edmonton campus. It is a pleasure to give back and guide students as they enter the field of clinical work.
