As a trauma specialist, I have supported individuals through diverse life experiences, including traumatic exposures (childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety) for more than 25 years. Through a client centered lens of support and encouragement, I have worked with individuals in varying stages of life span, including children, youth, adults and seniors. I value the courage, commitment, and authenticity each client brings to the table and am honoured to be a part of that healing journey. I believe in the ability to heal and approach my client interactions with love, support, and humour.
My passion lies in building hope and helping individuals develop healthy wellness strategies of their own. I have extensive experience working with diverse cultures, genders, religions, and sexual orientations. My academic research (thesis) focused on the middle aged stage of development and one’s sense of belonging.
I am a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists Association of Alberta and the Canadian Psychological Association. I am trained in EMDR and Hakomi therapy.
